MULTIFUGE Base

 

MULTIFUGE Base is a fast-setting joint mortar suitable for a vast range of application areas and for slurry application in both interior and exterior areas.

Due to the excellent working and washing properties the completion of large wall and floor zones is possible within minimised time.

Especially suitable for porcelaine stoneware, vitreous stoneware and natural stones.

Application areas

 

Grouting of

  • vitreous and porcelain stoneware
  • glazed vitreous stoneware tiles
  • artificial stone slabs
  • floor clinker slabs and treated cotto
  • heavy clay
  • ceramic mosaics
  • glass blocks
  • many natural stones (except marble)


We recommend MULTIFUGE Fine Speed for grouting marble.

 

Suitable substrates

 

Especially suitable for porcelaine stoneware, vitreous stoneware and natural stones.

 

Substrate preparation

 

Any adhesive residue, separating agents or dirt must be removed from the joints.

 

Storage

 

cool and dry, at least 9 months in its original sealed container

 

Mixing ratio

 

sand grey, silver grey, grey, titanium grey:

(4.25 l/ 25kg or 0.85 l/ 5kg)


anthracite:

(4,5l/ 25kg or 0,9l/ 5kg)

 

optimal water-solid ratio

 

sand grey, silver grey, grey, titanium grey:

~ 17 %


anthracite:

~ 18 %

3 minutes

 

Processing time

 

~ 30 minutes

after ~ 7 days

 

 

 

  • mix up using cold, clean water while stirring continuously
  • with a slow rotating agitator until a homogeneous mass
  • with an even colour has been achieved
  • briefly stir again after the maturing time
  • grout tile covering using a rubber squeegee or rubber trowel
  • clean the surface using a hydro sponge (change cleaning water frequently)
