Filling of cracks

The filling of joints is a service that is covered individually under separate contract from the other services.  In general, dummy joints are, as soon as the screed is ready to receive the covering, closed completely using reaction resin.

The closing of cracks is generally preceded by opening up very small cracks at the top level. The cracks are afterwards cleaned of dust and loose particles by blowing them out or by vacuuming the dust off. A low-viscosity synthetic resin is ideal for the  crack filling because of its good penetration. The reaction resin surface must be scattered with quartz sand in order to achieve optimal bonding between substrate and covering layer.
